CSA Week 13

[basil, sorrel, escarole, mini tomatoes, scallions, beans, squash, eggplants, carrots, heirloom tomatoes, yellow nectarines, and pears]

Summer produce is going strong! The last two weeks, I’ve been on the extra bag of heirloom tomatoes list, so I’ve been making a lot of HT+beans+basil salads. This week, with more squash and eggplants, I might make another ratatouille, with or without bell peppers. Maybe I need a new recipe to use…

The fruit has been perfect for cobblers, or just snacking, as I did with the mystery apples last week. Unfortunately, it turns out there were also plums at the bottom of the bag, and most of them had started to rot before I realized they were there. Alas.
